What are we?

Beans is a bar for queer women, trans, non-binary and neurodivergent individuals

Iā€™m straight and neurotypical, am I allowed at beans?

Of course! Beans is a welcome place for all, however please remember that Beans is primarily a place where those who are often left out in our community can feel safe and welcome.

Can I hire beans for my next event?

Absolutely! For events, please email info@beansbar.com.au

Is there an entry fee?

Not generally, no!

There will be some limited events where ticketing is required due to our venue capacity.

How does beans cater to the neurodivergent community?

Bubble poppers, sensory friendly, simple food, Spicy Sundays each week including low lighting, low music and toys for comfort.

How do we get there?

Beans is accessible via the 86 and 11 tram. The closest train station is Victoria Park and there is also street parking available.

Is Beans wheelchair accessible?

Beans has one step upon entry, however we have a ramp that lives by the door! At this stage, our toilets are not wheelchair accessible unfortunately, however we are looking into this!

Can we smoke in Beans?

Beans is non-smoking indoors and in the courtyard, however smoking is permitted while seated on the tables and chairs at the front of the venue.
